At Hawaiian Host Group, the Ho‘okipa Award celebrates team members who Exceed Excellence and embody the spirit of Hawai‘i by creating warm, welcoming experiences for others. “Ho‘okipa,” which translates to hospitality, reflects generosity and connection—values that define what it means to be a true Host of Hawai‘i. Each quarter, we recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond to support our mission, uplift our teammates, and strengthen our community.
We’re thrilled to celebrate Vivian Fung, Associate Global Brand Manager, as our Q2 2025 Ho‘okipa Award winner!
Vivian leads by example, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and teamwork in her role. Earlier this year, she jumped into several key projects and quickly became an essential bridge between our Marketing and Innovation teams—stepping up during a transitional period to provide crucial support to keep high-priority work moving forward.
One of her most impactful achievements was leading a major packaging update project, which required coordinating more than 100 art file revisions. The project demanded seamless coordination with internal teams and external partners, as well as exceptional attention to detail to successfully meet a tight deadline.
Vivian’s positive energy and collaborative mindset make her an incredible teammate and trusted partner across the business. She leads with kindness and is always ready to lend a hand. Whether guiding a complex project or pitching in where she’s needed most, Vivian always approaches her work with a can-do attitude.
When asked about the award, Vivian shared her gratitude and credited the recognition to HHG’s culture of support. “I’m so thankful to have been nominated for the Ho‘okipa Award and appreciative to have won. However, it really goes to everyone, as so many people at HHG have been part of my professional growth.”
She added that striving for excellence is about consistency and growth. “Excellence is different for everyone, and my advice is to define what excellence means for yourself based on your values and goals and use that to keep you going.”
