At Hawaiian Host Group, we know that our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we believe it’s so important to create opportunities to step away from the day-to-day, connect with one another, and energize each other ahead of our busiest season of the year. This September, our teams across Honolulu, Los Angeles, Kona, and Hilo did just that, wrapping up the summer season with company-sponsored events filled with food, fun, and plenty of laughter.

In Honolulu, our team traded their office chairs for beach chairs at a summer bash in Kailua. From a competitive relay race to a sizzling BBQ and potluck spread, the day was all about building stronger connections between teammates—from our Judd HQ to our factory leadership—while soaking up some well-earned sun.
The following week, our Los Angeles crew headed to Top Golf for a day of swings, snacks, and good times. It was the perfect way to recharge and enjoy a little friendly competition outside the office.

On the Big Island, our production facilities celebrated the summer with ono grinds right on-site. In South Kona, the Kapua Orchards team kicked off the macadamia harvest season with a visit from our friends at Big Island Smoke House Food Truck, serving up plate lunches for our hardworking crew. Meanwhile in Hilo, the team enjoyed iconic Kawamoto’s bentos during their quarterly summit—a delicious way to add some summer flavor to a busy schedule.

These gatherings weren’t just about good food and fun activities—they were about pressing pause, reconnecting as a team, and recognizing the dedication that powers HHG every day. As we look ahead to the rest of the year, we’re excited to carry this energy forward, continuing to celebrate our people and the Spirit of Hawaiʻi that inspires everything we do.
