We are deeply honored to be recognized as one of Pacific Business News’ inaugural Kokua Kahiau Award honorees!
At Hawaiian Host Group, our purpose—Making the Islands’ Future Flourish—guides everything we do. The spirit of Kokua Kahiau, which reflects helping others without expecting anything in return, aligns with our values of warmth, openness, and connection. It’s the foundation of how we approach business and community: with a sense of responsibility to uplift the people and places that make Hawai‘i home.
Our community efforts focus on education, environmental stewardship, and entrepreneurship—three pillars we believe are essential to Hawai‘i’s long-term success.

Through the Takitani Foundation, we’re proud to help provide scholarships that expand educational opportunities for local students across the Islands. We support Hawai‘i’s entrepreneurs through partnerships with Mana Up and Keiki Rise, which empower both established and next-generation business owners with mentorship, resources, and visibility to grow. Our environmental efforts include investments in recycled packaging materials, solar energy, and wastewater systems, helping to minimize our footprint and protect Hawai‘i for future generations. Finally, we’re proud to sponsor and participate in community events—from the Merrie Monarch Royal Parade to Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i and Relay for Life—celebrating and strengthening the communities that inspire us every day.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to expand team-based volunteer opportunities across our offices and facilities. Whether walking in local parades, serving alongside nonprofits, or supporting youth development programs, we believe that when our “Hosts of Hawai‘i” give back together, we move closer to the future we envision—one where our people, communities, and Islands thrive together.
Mahalo to Pacific Business News for this meaningful recognition, and to our dedicated HHG team members and community partners who embody the Kokua Kahiau spirit through their generosity, commitment, and aloha. Together, we’re helping Hawai‘i flourish—today and for generations to come.
