HONOLULU, H.I. — Hawaiian Host Group, parent-company of Hawaiian Host, Mauna Loa, and KOHO, is pleased to announce that Shannon Castellanos has joined its Executive Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer. In her new role, Castellanos will lead HHG’s Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams – driving financial & operational excellence.

Castellanos comes to HHG with over 20 years of Finance and Accounting experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and Retail industry. Prior to joining the HHG family, Castellanos spent 14 years working for The Wonderful Company, a privately held 5-billion dollar company committed to high-quality, healthy brands including FIJI Water, Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, POM Wonderful and JUSTIN wine.

As VP of Accounting and Finance at The Wonderful Company, Castellanos oversaw all aspects of accounting, finance master data management, payroll, and all companywide finance initiatives. She also led several transformational projects, such as ERP and HRIS system implementations, with a focus on driving efficiencies and process standardization.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Shannon to our team for a number of great reasons,” said Ed Schultz, President & CEO of Hawaiian Host Group. “Not only does she have experience in CPG, she specifically led financial teams of nut-growing and processing businesses, as well as an island-based business. Shannon is a proven leader in accounting & finance with a superior track record of delivering results and creating value. That’s why we are confident that she will be a great asset to our executive team as HHG continues to scale.”

Castellanos brings a passion for both people development and philanthropy. While at The Wonderful Company, she successfully developed and supported a 2-year rotational program for recent graduates interested in accounting careers and served as the Chair of the Board for the Wonderful College Prep Academy schools; whose mission is to increase the number of college graduates in the underserved communities of the Central Valley of California.

“I am really excited to join the amazing HHG team and leverage my CPG experience to help drive the business forward on HHG’s three incredible Hawaiian consumer brands. My career has been focused on implementing financial and operational improvements and I look forward to helping HHG realize its tremendous growth potential in the coming years,” said the new CFO.

Castellanos began her career in public accounting at Deloitte, where she focused on consumer products and technology companies.
