At Hawaiian Host Group, the Ho‘okipa Award is a peer recognition platform that celebrates team members who Exceed Excellence and embody the Spirit of Hawai‘i by creating warm, welcoming experiences for others. The award is named “Ho‘okipa” to reflect hospitality, generosity, and connection—values at the heart of our company. Each quarter, we recognize individuals who go above and beyond to support our mission, uplift our colleagues, and strengthen our community.
Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate Usha Jenkins, Associate FSQA Director, as our Q1 Hoʻokipa Award Winner!
Usha is an incredible partner to many across HHG, always going the extra mile to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety and quality. Over the past year, she has taken on increased responsibilities while leading one of our most complex, high-impact initiatives.
One of Usha’s key contributions has been building a centralized system to manage our nutritional data. As our portfolio and operations continue to grow, Usha has played a key role in strengthening how this information is managed and shared across the organization.
In addition to supporting FSQA efforts across all HHG locations, Usha successfully organized, updated, and centralized nutritional data into a reliable, accessible system for teams companywide, all while delivering on schedule.
Beyond this work, Usha is known for her dedication to food safety, her thoughtful and supportive nature, and her willingness to always lend a hand. Her perseverance, attention to detail, and commitment to cross-functional collaboration truly reflect what it means to Exceed Excellence.
When asked what advice she would share with others striving for excellence, Usha said: “Be accountable for your work, stay mindful of what your teammates may be carrying, and remember that strong teams rally together against problems. Progress happens when we stay adaptable, focus on outcomes, and work toward a shared purpose. For me, that purpose comes from respect for our teams, pride in the quality we deliver, and a commitment to supporting agriculture and manufacturing in Hawai‘i.”
Her leadership and initiative have made a meaningful difference across HHG, and her contributions continue to strengthen our teams every day. We’re truly grateful for all that she does.
Congratulations, Usha, on being our Q1 2026 Ho‘okipa Award winner—and mahalo for being on our team. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate the incredible teammates who make Hawaiian Host Group such a special place to work.
